Real Person, Real Talk: the standard for perso.

Van kracht sinds 2026-05-01 · Taal: NL

Deze pagina wordt in het Engels weergegeven. De Engelse versie is de juridisch bindende versie. Er wordt een Nederlandse vertaling voorbereid.

The Standard

perso is a space for humans. Impersonation of real individuals, automated scraping, and bot-driven engagement are strictly prohibited.

Zero-Tolerance for Bots

All accounts must correspond to a single, verified, living human being. Coordinated inauthentic behaviour, automation, and any form of synthetic engagement (likes, follows, replies) are grounds for immediate account termination.

Real Person, Real Talk

Speak as yourself. Disagreement is welcome; verbal aggression, harassment, doxxing, and incitement to violence are not. Verification raises the standard. It does not lower it.

Notice and Action

Verified users may report content via our Notice and Action mechanism (the report button on every post and comment). You do not need an account to tell us about content you believe is illegal: anyone can use the notice form at perso.social/report-illegal-content, and we will send you a reference and tell you what we decide. Notices about child sexual abuse material may be sent without giving your name or email. Reports are reviewed for compliance with EU law and these Guidelines under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

Enforcement

  • Removal of offending content.
  • Temporary suspension of posting or commenting privileges.
  • Permanent termination of the account and revocation of verified status.
  • Referral to law enforcement where conduct constitutes a criminal offence.

Appeals

If we restrict or remove your content, or restrict your account, you may appeal for six months from the date of the decision. That is the period the Digital Services Act requires and the period our systems allow. Members appeal in the app, from the decision notice itself. If you sent us a notice about someone else’s content and disagree with what we decided, use the Contest a decision form at perso.social/report-illegal-content. You can also write to appeals@perso.social. An appeal is reviewed by a person who was not involved in the original decision wherever that is possible; perso currently has a single administrator, so where it is not possible the decision is examined again against the evidence. We do not promise a fixed time to complete a review. You may also bring the decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act, and nothing here limits your right to go to a court.
